We found seven uses for vodka on Buzzfeed and since the video opened with a nice shot of a Smirnoff bottle, we’re just a tad suspicious.
In no particular order, here are the seven recommendations:
Rinse your razor in a beaker of vodka to prevent rust and clean the blade. You definitely won’t be tempted to have a quick nip with that one. Yuck.
Put some vodka on a cloth and clean your eyeglasses. Soap and water is cheaper.
Douse a cotton ball in vodka and used as a facial toner. Need to run that idea by a dermatologist. Alcohol in toiletries is limited or banned in California and the E.U.
Add a shot to your shampoo bottle for shiny hair. Maybe. Vinegar and lemon juice work too. Based on cost, vinegar sounds like a cheaper and safer solution.
That doused cotton ball can be pressed into action for smelly feet, too. Gross. That strikes us as plain silly.
Here’s one that might work. Add a few drops to a vase to keep flowers fresh longer. Using a little bit of cheap vodka to save expensive flowers makes sense.
For a flexible ice pack, use half and half water and vodka in a plastic bag and chill well. If the plastic bag is clean, you could at least consume the mixture after easing the pain.
They forgot to add cleaning the bathtub with vodka, which we covered some time ago. So that would be an eighth use for vodka.
How about a ninth suggestion? Just drink the damned stuff.
